  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Creamy Baked Chicken Alfredo Pasta recipe combines tender, seasoned chicken breasts with al dente pasta and a rich, homemade Alfredo sauce. Baked to perfection with a golden, bubbly top, this comforting dish is a delightful twist on classic chicken Alfredo – creamy, cheesy, and easy to prepare for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (or vegetable oil as an alternative)

Pasta

  • 8 ounces Fettuccine or Penne Pasta

Alfredo Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled pasta dish.
  2. Cook Pasta: Boil salted water and cook the fettuccine or penne pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside to keep warm.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Cook Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, add them to the skillet with garlic, and cook until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through. Remove from heat and slice into strips.
  5. Make Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter, then stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese while stirring continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine Ingredients: In a baking dish, combine the cooked pasta, sliced chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Mix gently to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
  7. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the sauce is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.

Notes

  • You can substitute penne pasta for fettuccine or any pasta of your choice.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and smooth sauce texture.
  • Make sure not to overcook the pasta during boiling since it will cook more in the oven.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle chopped parsley or extra Parmesan on top before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
