  • Total Time: 2 hours 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bars 1x

Description

This decadent Triple Layer Cracker Toffee Bars recipe features layers of buttery Club Crackers and rich caramel toffee, topped with smooth melted milk chocolate. The combination of crunchy crackers, gooey caramel, and creamy chocolate makes this no-bake dessert a perfect treat for holidays, parties, or anytime you crave a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Cracker Layers

  • 1 box Club Crackers

Caramel Toffee

  • 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Milk

Chocolate Topping

  • 2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, allowing the foil edges to hang over the sides for easy removal later. Spray the foil with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Layer Crackers: Place a single layer of Club Crackers evenly over the bottom of the prepared pan, ensuring full coverage.
  3. Make Caramel Mixture: In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and milk. Stir frequently as the butter melts to prevent burning.
  4. Cook Caramel: Once the butter has melted, increase the heat to medium-high. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to thicken and develop the toffee flavor without burning.
  5. Pour First Caramel Layer: Pour one-third of the hot caramel mixture evenly over the cracker layer, spreading it gently with a spatula.
  6. Add Second Cracker Layer: Place another full layer of Club Crackers over the caramel to create the second layer.
  7. Pour Second Caramel Layer: Pour half of the remaining caramel over the second cracker layer, spreading evenly.
  8. Add Final Cracker Layer: Place the last layer of Club Crackers on top of the caramel.
  9. Pour Final Caramel Layer: Evenly spread the remaining caramel mixture over the top cracker layer.
  10. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth and fully melted.
  11. Top with Chocolate: Pour and spread the melted chocolate evenly over the caramel layer to cover completely.
  12. Chill to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and allow the toffee bars to harden completely, preferably for at least 2 hours.
  13. Cut and Serve: Once set, remove the bars by lifting the foil edges. Flip the bars upside down onto parchment paper so the chocolate side is down. Cut into squares for cleaner edges and serve.

Notes

  • Use the foil sling method to easily lift the bars out of the pan without breaking.
  • Constant stirring when cooking the caramel prevents burning and ensures a smooth texture.
  • Microwave chocolate in short intervals with stirring prevents overheating and seizing.
  • For a richer flavor, you can substitute milk chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
