Crust
- 2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup Melted butter
Topping
- 4 cups Chocolate chips
- 1 package Mini marshmallows (about 10–12 oz)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the correct temperature for baking the crust.
- Prepare Pan: Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish thoroughly with cooking spray to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
- Make Crust: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until the mixture is well combined and resembles wet sand.
- Form Crust: Press the graham cracker and butter mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the prepared baking pan, creating a sturdy crust.
- Bake Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8 minutes to set it and bring out the buttery flavor.
- Add Toppings: Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the hot crust, followed by an even layer of mini marshmallows on top.
- Bake to Toast Marshmallows: Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and toasted.
- Cool: Remove from oven and allow the bars to cool completely. Then place the pan in the refrigerator to chill and set for best slicing.
- Serve: Once chilled, cut into bars and serve. Enjoy a gooey, chocolaty s’mores-inspired dessert!
Notes
- For extra crunch, you can sprinkle chopped nuts on top with the chocolate chips before adding marshmallows.
- If you prefer, use dark or milk chocolate chips based on your taste.
