Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Melt the Base Ingredients: In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter, mini marshmallows, and peanut butter together over low heat, stirring gently until fully combined and smooth.
- Add Cereal: Remove the mixture from heat and stir in the Rice Krispie cereal until evenly coated.
- Press Mixture into Pan: Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan. Lightly spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray to avoid sticking while pressing.
- Melt Chocolate: Place chocolate chips in a medium heatproof bowl and microwave in 45-second intervals at medium power, stirring between intervals until slightly melted. Stir until smooth and fully melted, then mix in the vegetable oil for shine and smooth texture.
- Top the Bars: Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the pressed cereal bars and spread gently.
- Set to Harden: Allow the chocolate topping to harden at room temperature for about 2 hours.
- Serve and Store: Once set, cut into squares. Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
