Description

A delicious and easy-to-make recipe featuring tender garlic butter steak bites paired with creamy Alfredo tortellini. This dish combines savory seared steak with rich, cheesy sauce for a comforting and indulgent meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb steak bites
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Alfredo Tortellini

  • 1 package tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortellini: Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions, usually boiling for 3-5 minutes until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
  2. Cook the Steak Bites: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Season the steak bites generously with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side to achieve medium-rare doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter: Using the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: Lower the heat to low and slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly to combine. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine: Add the cooked tortellini into the Alfredo sauce, tossing thoroughly to coat the pasta. Gently stir in the seared steak bites, allowing them to warm through and distribute evenly. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.
  6. Serve: Transfer to serving plates and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen tortellini depending on availability; cooking times may vary slightly.
  • Steak bites can be substituted with chicken or sautéed mushrooms for a different protein option.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a cream alternative.
  • Do not overcook steak bites to maintain tenderness.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for color and a hint of freshness.
