For the Crust:
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
For the Topping:
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- Extra chopped pecans
- Sea salt flakes
- Drizzled caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Create Crust: Combine flour and brown sugar, then cut in cold butter to form crumbs. Press into the pan.
- Add Pecans: Sprinkle pecan halves evenly over the crust.
- Make Caramel: Cook butter and brown sugar until bubbly, then pour over pecans and crust.
- Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Add Chocolate: Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot bars, let soften, then spread into an even layer.
