Description

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Extra chopped pecans
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Create Crust: Combine flour and brown sugar, then cut in cold butter to form crumbs. Press into the pan.
  3. Add Pecans: Sprinkle pecan halves evenly over the crust.
  4. Make Caramel: Cook butter and brown sugar until bubbly, then pour over pecans and crust.
  5. Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Add Chocolate: Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot bars, let soften, then spread into an even layer.
