Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and line a baking sheet: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers: Place saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Melt butter and brown sugar: In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Pour toffee mixture over crackers and bake: Pour the hot toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add chocolate chips: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let it sit for a few minutes to soften, then spread the melted chocolate evenly.
  6. Combine sugar and cinnamon: In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Sprinkle sugar mixture over chocolate: Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the melted chocolate on the toffee layer.
  8. Finish with sea salt: Lightly sprinkle sea salt over the top.
  9. Cool and break into pieces: Allow the toffee to cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Once set, break the toffee into pieces and enjoy!
