  • Author: Zoe
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Buffalo Chicken Sliders featuring shredded rotisserie chicken mixed with buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and melted cheeses, all baked inside soft Kings Hawaiian rolls for a perfect game day or party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Other

  • 1 package Kings Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350° F (175° C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and set aside for brushing later.
  3. Mix Chicken Filling: In a separate bowl, combine shredded rotisserie chicken, ranch dressing, half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and buffalo sauce. Stir well to evenly coat the chicken with the mixture.
  4. Prepare Rolls: Slice the Kings Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly sprayed with cooking spray, arranging them snugly.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top of the chicken mixture.
  6. Top Rolls and Brush Butter: Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese layer to form sliders. Using a brush, evenly coat the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.
  8. Finish Baking Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the sliders turn a golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Serve: Remove from oven, slice between the rolls to separate sliders, and serve warm as a tasty appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds great flavor, but you can use cooked shredded chicken breast instead.
  • The Kings Hawaiian rolls add a sweet contrast to the spicy buffalo chicken mixture.
  • Make sure to cover the rolls while baking initially to keep them soft and prevent drying out.
  • You can adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to make it more or less spicy according to your preference.
  • Leftover sliders can be reheated in the oven wrapped in foil to maintain moisture.
