Description

Delicious and nutritious Brownie Protein Bites made with rolled oats, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and optional protein powder and chocolate chips. These no-bake snacks are perfect for a quick energy boost, combining wholesome ingredients with a rich chocolatey flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats (90g)
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder (25g), natural unsweetened
  • ½ cup chocolate protein powder (50g), optional
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseed meal
  • Pinch of salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (125g), unsweetened and unsalted
  • ⅓ cup honey or maple syrup (80ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins

  • ¼ cup mini dark chocolate chips (45g), optional

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, cocoa powder, protein powder, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir until evenly distributed.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients: Add peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry mix. Mix with a spatula until crumbly but combined.
  3. Adjust texture: Fold in mini dark chocolate chips. If the mixture is too dry, add water or almond milk teaspoon by teaspoon until sticky enough to hold shape.
  4. Shape the bites: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls. Place on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper.
  5. Chill and enjoy: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. For quicker chilling, freeze for 15 minutes.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup.
  • You can customize the protein powder to your preferred flavor or skip it if desired.
  • These bites can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • If you prefer a crunchier texture, toast the oats lightly before mixing.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or espresso powder for an extra flavor twist.
